Michele Silk
Michele Silk was born on the 14th of September 1958, graduated with a BA (Honours) in Fine Art and participated in as many group shows as I could in Zimbabwe.
From a very young age when I was first introduced to paint, a natural passion was ignited to explore the creative processes using paint and drawing techniques and it gave me a great sense of control and freedom to express myself intuitively. Consequently, art was my only focus growing up and it continued when I left school, in the work place and recreationally.
After immigrating to SA in 1997, it didn’t take me long to get involved in the art scene and further my education by doing a Post graduate diploma in painting and then a Master’s Degree in Fine Art with the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg.
